On September 10th 2011, we witnessed history as the first African Entertainment Awards in Canada took place. This prestigious award show aimed at showcasing the rich culture of African art and entertainment in Canada, this event celebrated cutting edge developments and forward thinkers shaping the future of African entertainment industry in Canada. Thereby honoring, innovations, entrepreneurship and brand development.

This event incorporate award presentation, live entertainment, Comedy Act, Stage performances, community leaders.

Among the winners were Blessings Hairport, Maad Haus Promotiongs, DJ Spinalong, Gabe Odartei (Ghanalinx), Afrodiziac Photography, Ruff N Smooth, Suya Spot Restaurant, Blacko Blaze, Shelly Banks, Elonn Magazine, MC Bonde, Vanessa Obonna and many more.
